EMU OIL AND WHAT IT CAN DO FOR YOUR SKIN!

We are going to try and give you a little insight on this amazing Oil...EMU OIL
and what it can do for you. Our customer's feed back, tells us that our EMU Oil is the best. We are using it in a lot of our soaps, lotions and scrubs. What is Emu Oil and what does it do for your skin? All of our research is done through the AEA (American Emu Association) and the companies we buy our oils from. We only buy the highest grade of Emu oil. It is a little costly, but worth it for us and our customers.
The Emu as a species goes back many years, approximately 40 million years. The oil has been and is still being used by the Australian Aboriginal people. They have used the Emu for 40,000 years as the provider of food and medicine. The Emu is regarded as sacred by the Aborigines. It has been proven to have special health characteristics.

The Emu Oil is derived from Emu fat. It is accumulated by the bird seasonably, which allows it to not only survive some of the harsh climate conditions, it enables the Emu to reproduce under these conditions. The Emu oil is one of the most powerful synergies of fatty acids, vitamins, mineral, neurotransmitters & many other yer unidentified components. It is the life providing substance for the species.

At Soaps by Design we use only the refined Emu oil. Which if not done properly, will strip out all the beneficial parts the oil . That is why we buy only the highest quality Oil. After normal refining, emu oil should be lab-tested to insure it meets or exceeds the American Emu Association (AEA) emu oil standards. Emu oil that is lab tested and meets these standards is quality emu oil (grade A).
According to research articles, Emu Oil has natural anti-inflammatory healing properties with a wide range of omega oils. that are known to facilitate good health. Emu Oil may be used for pain management, burns, skin care, wound care, nutrition, diabetes, arthritis, sports injuries, neuropathy, carpal tunnel, psoriasis , etc.

Emu Oil contains natural anti-inflammatory, healing properties with a wide range of omega oils that are known to facilitate good health. Essential Fatty Acids are fats that humans cannot manufacture or synthesize. We must obtain them from our diet. Like vitamins and minerals they are essential to our body's functions. Emu Oil is an important source of essential fatty acids that help provide the body with what it needs to manufacture cell membranes. An inadequacy of fatty acids is one of the most widespread nutritional deficiency among modern humans. Without Essential Fatty Acids the body's immune response will not be efficient.

Below you will find some of the health benefits of the Emu Oil that our research found:

Emu Oil Black Eye Helper

Another article states that Emu Oil will help heal a cut and help to reduce the black eye s and swelling. Just apply the emu oil to the effected area.

Emu Oil – Black and Blue Skin Marks

Is reported to help with black and blue marks. One lady states that her black and blue marks, which she rubbed with Emu Oil, started to turn back to normal color the next day.

She states that she attributes the quick improvement of her skin to the emu oil. It’s hyper-oxygenating powers draw blood to the applied area of skin. This helps improve blood circulation and speed up healing.

Some Physicians Using Emu Oil To Assist In Diabetic Wound Care

San Angelo, Texas – Diabetic wound care has been of great concern to physicians for many years and with good cause. Even simple wounds take twice as long to heal and they always have the potential to deteriorate into something severe. Over 150 million people worldwide have diabetes and the number is expected to double by 2010. Of these, it is estimated that at least 15% will develop foot ulcerations and that related complications will require 3% to have a lower limb amputation. However, some physicians are finding that the addition of emu oil to the treatment regime for diabetic wound care offers some hope in the battle to save limbs.

Dr. Robert Winston, a Jackson, TN physician, states that his use of emu oil has shown promise. “I have treated several diabetic wounds with antibiotics using emu oil as a transport from the outside in,” the doctor said. “The results have been amazing.”

The use of emu oil as a carrier for antibiotics may offer diabetic patients and attending physicians some hope in the battle to promote healing and find ways to lessen the extent of the prolonged and painful traditional treatments usually involved in the treatment of decubes.

The American Emu Association is a non-profit trade association representing the emu industry. The emu industry is an alternative agricultural industry, dominated by the small farmer, who is devoted to humane and environmentally positive practices that will produce beneficial products for society. Post Operative Breast Surgery

A new study finds that a Transdermis(TM) Scar Therapy using emu oil offered dramatic healing results versus other treatments. For sometime women have been purchasing emu oil to topically apply to their skin to help lessen the appearance of scars and to speed up healing after surgery. This is the first independent study about this usage.

Emu oil is becoming more and more recognized as a beauty aid. It is well known that it helps skin heal and become softer and suppler. It also can help hair become more shinny and lustrous and add moisture to dry hair. Try adding one or two drops of pure emu oil to the shampoo you squeeze out of your shampoo bottle. Don’t go overboard. A little bit can go a long way.

This is just a note to tell you how well Emu Oil works as a hair conditioner. My husband and I are both using it. He uses just a few drops on his hair while it is still wet after his shower. It adds body and is not at all noticeable. His hair stays combed all day even in light winds. In my case I use it very sparingly to add body and thickness. And most surprisingly, the continuing use of Emu Oil has eliminated by lifelong problem with dandruff. My scalp is now clear.Emu Oil is a superior hair care product.

Emu oil helps soften and eliminate calluses and may help with ingrown toenails. Make sure you completely cover the toenail area for best results. It is well known that emu oil helps soften skin. Its penetrating power can go below the surface of the skin and its hyper-oxidating powers helps speed up skin healing and replenishment.

Articles of Testemony:

Testemony #1: One lady writes: I purchased a small bottle of EMU oil to try on some severe burns my 25-year-old son received the weekend before. He was sifting next to a barbecue grill when someone inadvertently knocked it over on him. His shirt caught fire. As he rolled on the ground trying to put out the fire, he rolled across the gratesof the grill causing deeply embedded burns like those of a branding iron on his arm and acrosshis back before someone could pull off his burning shirt. We gave him the Emu Oil, but he was reluctant to try it for fear of infection, his arm was a mass of open slashes, which he kept covered with burn cream prescribed by his doctor. He agreed to try it on his back where the bums were not as deep but very painful. He was due to return to work last Monday, but the wounds on his arms were breaking open and bleeding and felt like his nerves were still exposed. He returned to work this past Wednesday and began applying Emu Oil to his arm on Thursday because it wasn't quite as messy as the heavy white cream. We asked about his burns, he smiled and rubbed arm, All the wounds were healed over, smooth and touchable. He said, "I think I'm a believer in that Emu stuff' !

Testemony #2: One lady who was an Allergist and had been in private practice for eleven years, said that Eczema can be one of the most difficult conditions to treat . There are degrees of severity, and these individuals with moderate to severe cases often are aggravated and uncomfortable for years. One problem they face is finding a product that moisturizes their severely dry and thickened skin without causing an exacerbation. She said that a Pediatrician first recommended Emu Oil. She recommended it to treat eczema occurring on her face and extremities. She had been using mild steroid creams which were lightening her skin but not controlling the rash, After three days of using Emu Oil, the rashes were nearly gone! Brief use of the Emu Oil clears the rash. Use this product as a valuable adjunct to traditional therapy for eczema and other thy skin conditions.

  1. I have been using the Emu Oil for about 3 weeks now on a regular basis. You have to be very faithful to use it everyday, for entire body or specific spots where you need it. I use it on my entire body from head to toes. Since I have been using it I don't have to use any other lotions. I use it first thing in the morning and thats it for the day. Be sure to keep a journal if possible of when you started and the results you see. Please keep us posted as to your results for our customers to see. Thanks, Donna Hyde/Soaps by Design
