"COFFEE....To Drink or Bathe with it...."

We have all heard all the hipe about how coffee is not good for you....well that is from one side of the fence. But the others side says, wait maybe a cup a day is good. Who do you believe?...Trust your own judgement and the old saying...everything in moderation.

Here at Soaps by Design, we just love coffee to drink and to use in our soaps for exfoliation. One of our best sellers is our Kitchen Coffee Soap, which eliminates odors on your hands, such as onions, garlic, fish and more. We also have grease mechanics who use it to get rid of grease on their hands and moisturize at the same time. Most of the store bought grease eliminators have so much alcohol in them, you would need to use a bottle of lotion after using them.

Our coffee soap has great moisturizers in it. Lets see, there is shea butter, coconut oil, palm oil, and more. The fragrances are morning java with a touch of chocolate. Great morning smell. We have people who use the soap for showers, not just for the kitchen. They love the smell.

So if you haven't tried the Kitchen Coffee Soap, please do. If your one of the customers who just love it please leave a comment about your experience with the soap. If you would like to try a bar, just email us and we'll get it out to you. Thanks for stopping by and look for our next article in a few weeks.

“Doggie in the Window SOAP”

“Doggie in the Window SOAP”

What do you bathe your family Pet with?

Here is a list of things not to use on your Pet:

1. Dish Detergent (will dry out your pets skin & dry skin makes them itch.

2. Car Soap

3. Store bought soap

4. Clothes washing powder

I don’t think you would want to take a bath with any of the above.

Here are some general guidelines for taking care of your pet’s skin and coat. Be sure to brush your pet good before a bath. About a year ago my Golden Retriever Kacee had an itchy and scaly skin problem. So we researched our homemade soaps and discovered we have some of the best products for your dog’s skin care. We finally came up with what some customers say is the “best dog soap on the market”. It has glycerin, coconut oil, olive oil, vitamin E oil and finely ground Organic Oatmeal in it for exfoliation, as well as peppermint and lavender fragrance. The oatmeal is for the itchy skin. It will help take off dead skin and leave the skin soft and helps relieve the itchy skin. The peppermint and lavender are for the fleas. This helps control fleas as they don’t like the peppermint and lavender smell. You don’t need to bathe your pet more than every two weeks to a month unless he is outside running around. This is a bar soap and last quite a long time if used correctly. Not like your bottle of liquid shampoo filled with thirteen-syllable chemicals which just runs off the dog.

When using the Doggie in the Window Soap you need to get your pets coat very wet and start on back using the Oatmeal side and rub the skin really good. Wash once and rinse very good and then lather up again. You can use cotton balls for the ears to keep them dry.

If you would like to order this soap email us at soapsbydesign@comcast.net and let us know how many you would like. We use the flat rate boxes for shipping our soaps. Our soaps are all priced by the ounce. Most run from $4.50 to 6.00 a bar. It last a long time.

What Soaps are you using?

Nourish your skin and let it thrive!!!

Why our handcrafted soap is better for your skin.

Commercial store bought soaps are mostly made in large factories using economical ingredients. They often contain synthetic detergents, additives and preservatives and many have the skin friendly glycerin removed to sell to other manufacturers.

Our soaps are each designed differently and are made with only high quality oils such as Olive oil, Shea butter, Palm oil, Mango butter, Jojoba oil, Castor oil, Sweet almond oil and many more. They are all great moisturizers for your skin. They leave your skin feeling healthy and beautiful and most of all soft.
